Tommy Guerrero’s New Release: “No Mans Land”

Tommy Guerrero's New Album release - No Mans Land

Tommy Guerrero’s New Album release – No Mans Land

Tommy Guerrero, legendary street skater from the Bones Brigade, continues to gain momentum as he rolls down the road to success from the streets of San Francisco to overseas and back! Tommy just wrapped up his 2014 tour in Europe as well as an interview with Bandcamp Weekly – all to promote his new album release No Mans Land which drops today!

No Mans Land now available on Bandcamp and iTunes

Although titled No Mans Land to fit the “deserted, lonely, forlorn sort of feel to [the songs]…” – it’s clear to see that the streets of San Francisco are still claimed by the traces of Tommy’s legacy. The album release will be celebrated in SF’s Brick and Mortar on July 24th with brother Tony’s band El Diablitos opening the show.

Much as with his success with skateboard companies and music – he remains true to his history which pervades every element of his current projects. When Thrasher Magazine asked “What are you more happy doing: Slappin’ da bass or shreddin’ the guitar?” Tommy Guerrero replies-

“Ha! Slappin’ the curbs, fool!”

Tommy Guerrero’s 2014 European Tour Captured on Film

tgeuro

Levi’s Skateboarding Collection presents… Tommy Guerrero’s 2014 European Tour :: No Mans Land.

When skate legend and musician Tommy Guerrero hit the road for his first European tour, Levi’s Skateboarding Collection and Huck went along to document the ride.

Tommy Guerrero played a fundamental role in Californian skateboarding history as a stalwart of the Bones Brigade, Powell Peralta’s zeitgeist-defining skate team. And he hasn’t stopped contributing to the culture in the intervening years, dropping ambient records seeped in seventies funk and soul.

His new album No Mans Land continues to break boundaries, blending atmospheric trip hop jams with Latino-inspired beats.

When Tommy hit the road in April for his first European tour – playing sold-out shows in the UK, the Netherlands, France and Spain – Levi’s Skateboarding and Huck hopped in the van beside him to document the ride:

Read an exclusive interview with Tommy Guerrero, in conversation with Jackass co-creator Dave Carnie, in the latest issue of Huck magazine out May 8, 2014.
